Melanie Davis Design was founded in 2001 after Melanie graduated from the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. While at Georgia, Melanie took extensive classes in interior design, photography, painting, and art history. She approaches her design work as an artist, giving her a unique understanding of architecture and attention to detail.
Her interior design work can be seen in the recent design books by Rizzoli, Classical Interiors and Coming Home: The Southern Vernacular House. Her design projects have also been featured in publications including Garden & Gun, The Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and Kitchen & Bath Ideas.
Melanie was part of the 2007 class of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles “20 Under 40”. Her art work has shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and is part of private and corporate collections including Jones Day and Prink Pack. Her art work has been seen in publications including Traditional Home and The Atlantan. Melanie works closely with clients to create custom pieces as well as building their collections.
