| Melanie Davis started the interior design firm Davis Design in 2001 after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. While at Georgia, Melanie also took extensive art classes in interior design, painting, and art history. She approaches her design work as an artist giving her an innate understanding of scale, color, and material. Her ability to select and place art and her thoroughness to detail are her defining strengths as a designer. Since she was a child, her first love creatively has always been architecture. Her interior design work enables her to work closely with architects and she focuses both on the exterior and interior architecture of the home from the initial creative collaboration sessions in designing the home through the construction and then decorating process. She has an instictive understanding of how people live in their homes and works in close collaboration with her clients to create an environment conducive to their lifestyle. |
